On Tuesday evening Sevi and Natty were presented with the Vranch House Junior cup and goodie bags
as a thank you from the club for all the hard work they put in
and continue to put in helping with open days and learn to fish evenings.
All prizes were donated by committee members. Many thanks guys!
250 skimmers and 125 crucians (1+ aged) introduced to Harpers on the 20th December 2017, 1st pond (the middle one).
All reared at the EA;s Calverton fish farm using rod licence money.
Bert a new life member wins the rose bowl, picked by the committee
as the most outstanding member of the committee for this year.
Scout day at Harpers Ponds
Two groups from the 1st Bishopsteignton scouts, spent a morning / afternoon at Harpers Ponds on Saturday 16th July 2017.
Learning to fish for silvers with a whip pole. Initial coaching was given by qualified club members,
followed by a few hours spent practising what had been learned.
Catches were mostly of roach & rudd, with occasional tench, crusian, or eel.
There seems to be a bit of confusion about the new rod licence.

John worked for a long time in sorting this out for the club.
End of year charity donations being handed over to Vranch House and RBL Poppy Appeal, by the club treasurer.
Roly has sorted out a good deal with Go Outdoors for Club Members.
Members can get an extra 10% at Go Outdoors by showing a valid fishing club membership card at the tills.
You will still need a Go Outdoors discount card.
Members need to show a valid membership card, a go outdoors card and quote the number, 4389670, to receive the extra 10% discount.
This will not apply to goods that have extra discount on them, IE: sale items.
to patrol around Kia Ora ponds to help with the cormorant
