Brief description of fishery:
A long stretch of river continuing on down from Silverton paper mill on our Beare Gate fishery, fish stocks the same as Beare Gate, albeit perhaps more chub being present. The tactics again would be to fish the slower water on one of the many bends, or alternatively, fish between the weed beds in mid river. A good summer water for all species, with pike being prominent during the winter months with the largest recorded present day fish in the low 20’s and a few years back a 30 pounder caught from the upstream weir above the paper mill, there are however, many fish to 10lb, most fish being caught via deadbait. Whereas for the chub, roach and dace, maggot/caster fished with a little groundbait being the most popular method for producing the better quality fish.

Boundaries
The Association fishing rights are the left bank downstream from the bridge (Ellerhayes Bridge) extending for approximately 3 miles and it eventually meets Paddleford Pool bridge. (Not a club water)
