Brief description of fishery:
Two small ponds (1/2 acre and 1 acre respectively) built by the Association in the 1970’s and named after the late past Association President Mr Vince Feneck. Set amidst secluded farmland yet only 10 minutes drive from Exeter City Centre.
Both of the ponds are well stocked with roach, tench, bream, crucian, mirror and common carp. Whilst none of the carp are large, they do, however offer good sport on lighter tackle. Feneck is ideally suited to the pleasure angler who wants to get away from it all and have a peaceful days fishing in a very rural environment.
It is a productive fishery, with no special methods or skills required to catch the resident fish. All conventional baits such as maggot, bread, caster, worm, corn etc will produce results; even for the novice angler, with the added bonus of an extremely tranquil setting. Whilst the ponds themselves are small in size, they are, however, extremely prolific fisheries in their own right and as a consequence a popular water for many a local angler who wants a good day’s fishing away from other busier fisheries.
Club rules apply plus: No close season. No dogs. No boilies
No ground bait. One rod per angler. No night fishing
Ensure the access gate is closed and locked at all times. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.

Access & Parking
Leave Exeter on the A377 heading for Crediton/Tiverton. Approximately 2 miles from the city at Cowley Bridge turn left onto the A377 to Crediton, you will immediately go over two river bridges. 300 yards up a small hill, there is a sharp turning on the left by a church, keep going for another 100 yards, then turn left into a small lane and immediately right to Star Barton. Follow this lane for ½ a mile and parking for the ponds will be through a gate on the right. Note; if you reach the garden centre on the main road (A377) you have missed the turning for the ponds.
